I requested a quote for condo insurance from Geico, they steered me to Homesite insurance. Homesite quoted me a price of $901. I provided my bank information and they debited $1,712 from my account. When I called to have the overcharge refunded, they told me it would take 7 to 10 business days to refund. I asked that they void the transaction, they sent me a letter via e-mail saying it was cancelled and still took the money out of my bank account. I called to complain, and they told me I would have to wait 7 to 10 business days.

If you knew it was so high, why did you agree to it?? Our condo insurance is about $300 and it is a big place. What were you thinking when you gave them your bank account number; that is a very bad idea, use a credit card.
