My mother and I purchased a policy from Geico recently. We found out that it would be very inexpensive for our 98 Toyota Corolla and 04 Toyota Corolla, about $360 for six months. My mom was initially worried that this sounded a little too good to be true, and unfortunately, it was. Initially there were no issues until they decided to kick me off of the plan because my mom is not on the title of my car. (She's on under TOD to her, but not technically on the title)". Geico never had an issue with how this was set up initially at all when I spoke with them/. After about a month of coverage, they mailed out a letter to us that I would have to pay $100 a month and get on my own policy, despite the fact that I have only been in one incident involving black ice over three years ago, which was an accident with damage to the driver's side wheel of the vehicle, and it needed to be replaced.. I'm 30 years old, so I thought that was a bit expensive compared to other rates I had been quoted, plus they would not really give me any time to have my mom added to my title so that we could remain on the policy together|. They gave me a week to find my own policy, so my mother and I recently just switched to Progressive.. I can only hope that their information and policies are a little more honest/. Geico just did something totally unacceptable and I can't trust them with anything, especially my car;. If my mom had not opened the mail I could have been left without insurance because that was the only notification we received that I was kicked off the policy'. If I had just continued to log in online as usual, I would have had no clue. 127c6a2
