I recently moved a couple months ago and switched my insurance to full coverage through Geico. First off I would like to say that I had full coverage insurance off and on several times through out the past several years and never had to put a claim in. It's been at least six years since been involved in any kind of accident.

Three weeks after my new insurance policy started I had the unfortunate experience of hitting black ice on the highway causing me to spin out and hit a guard rail. Luckily, I was OK, know other vehicles were involved and the damage to front of my truck was minimal compared to what it could of been".

I contacted Geico, submitted my claim and then asked them about the process/. They scheduled me to see an adjuster the following week so my damage could be estimated and claim get settled..

The day before my appointment with the adjuster, I received a phone call from a private number out of state|. This person told me they were looking into my claim and needed to get a recorded statement of what happened?. While answering his questions I noticed this person started using some very weak psychological training methods of asking me same question several different ways and trying to get me to change my story, then he started asking me for my cell phone records". I have nothing to hide, but find it very disturbing this company is basically accusing me of insurance fraud not just investigating it by taking the offensive of having some very weakly trained insurance investigator contacting me and talking to me like he is a federal agent or something". I am still up in the air about giving some strange investigator my cell phone records not because I have something to hide but because of the principle of this company over stepping their boundaries asking for that information!. I could rant on but this should spell out the hassle this company will cause you when you are in need of the service you pay them for. 127c733

I just wanted to write a quick follow up to my complaint. Geico did settle my claim with them after a three week investigation. So maybe I jumped the gun on the complaint. Either way I never went through the process of submitting a claim and was completely shocked by the interigation methods I went through. To be fair Geico paid my claim promptly after the investigation.

All insurance companies are going to investigate that situation especially if you take full coverage off and on several times....do you have any idea how much insurance fraud cost all companies and raise everyone's rates it is a huge problem quit changing coverages
