GEICO is nothing more than a rip-off!

They are really good at taking payments, however when you have a problem it is all on you! Their agents, adjusters or anybody there is of any help and half of them act like they have never handled a claim before. I had a total loss on my SUV last month 09/04/2008 and still have not seen a penny.

I am to the point of going to hire an attorney tomorrow and just sue them & I have advised my passenger (that had injuries) to sue them too!

I would not recommend the company to anyone.

As I read earlier on her - I as well would rather insure with a crackhead on the corner!

ALL i know is that when i had Geico (up until a few weeks ago) I was paying $1,800 a year on two vehicles.

When i attempted to drop one vehicle to save on premiums Geico told me that it would only save me $18.00 a year because i would lose the "multicar discount" and thus the premium on the remaining car would be raised significantly. HUH???

When i attempted to combine with my boyfriends insurance (also Geico) under "domestic partnership" they told me my boyfriends premiums would go down but not mine. HUH???

Then later they told me it's because i had a minor "no fault" accident 2 years ago (it was really 4 years ago not 2).

HUH???????

Then they said i had a violation, which i didn't. Had no idea what they heck they were talking about. I even asked the rep to check her screen make sure it was the right person she was referring to.

Anyway it all sounded like a load of crap to me so i finally got fed up and called USAA after checking their rating and complaint stats on my state's insurance website.

USAA confirmed that the accident was a no fault accident that happened 4 years ago and it would not affect my rates. They also didn't see any moving violations at all on my record.

Basically it was a no-brainer, i switched to USAA, and my premiums went down to $1,000 a year.

That's a savings of over $800.

I used to have life insurance with USAA a while back, i don't know why i didn't think of switching my car insurance before.

All that money given away to a *** Gecko. LOL

You need to advise your passenger to sue you they cannot sue geico unless you live in florida where there is third party bad faith. But they need to sue you none the less to get paid on a bi. Oh hope their BI isnt over your policy limits or you may be shooting yourself in the foot and plan on signing your house over to our passenger.
