I purchased a new auto insurance policy because they offered me such a good price. At first the total was $521 for the year, but through the process they found I had a no fault accident three years ago (bumped a tree with my bumper) and so upped the price to $635". He told me that this would fall off in September because it will have been three years/. I could call back then and they would lower the price back down to $521.. I agreed to the $635 and paid in full with the full intent of calling back in September and getting the price back down|. One week later I get an additional bill for $371!. I called them and they said they reviewed my records, found this no fault wreck and had to up the ante". They gave me a total different story than the salesman/. So my $521 price was actually $1006/. Fascinating. 127cb6f

I tried to get a quote from them and they said they had my MVR record and they said it showed tickets and accidents in the past couple years. I haven't had a ticket in over 20 years and the accident they are claiming that is supposed to be on my MVR was a snowmobile. How does that get on my MVR record when there was no police report? And what does driving a snowmobile and hitting a tree have to do with my driving skills on the road?

Sounds like what happened to me! I hit a patch of black ice, hit a tree and went over a curb and had to have my wheel replaced back in 2008. I told them about this up front. They gave my mom and I a policy together for a very cheap rate, for one month. Then they kicked me off the policy with my mom, giving me a week to find another provider, because she is not on the title of my car. We just left. :x I don't know what they think they are doing with their business. This type of costumer tactic WILL catch up to them at some point.

Geico is a ripoff. Instead of running those *** commercials they should reduce their customers insurance premiums.

After a spotless 7 year record I went to Allstate and they beat Geico by $600. When I asked them to match it they refused. Needless to say I dropped their sorry ***. Now they are constNtly emailing and mailing me stuff begging me to come back.

Get lost.

it costs money to pull MVR....so if they pulled it for EVERY quote it would be a ridiculous amount of money. hence why YOU need to be honest in letting the agent know of any accidents/tickets/etc...sounds like you weren't honest. not GEICO. just saying.

Comments on Geico is dishonest.
