I have been with GEICO for 6-7 years, I used to like GEICO I was in an accident about 4 years ago the GEICO insurance adjusters made it a very smooth process that between my wife and I recommended over 50 friends and family to GEICO! On Nov/31/2011 my only vehicle was stolen from our driveway under the immense stress of being a victim we felt that everything would be taken care of by the adjusters due to my last experience, I was so wrong!! My vehicle was found within the next day wrecked we gave a
police report and GEICO representative Gene Mcguigan and Jeff VanBuskirk send our vehicle to a storage facility where neither of them notified us that we were responsible for the storage fees. We didn't find this out until the Tow/Storage owner came personally to our house letting us know 3 days prior to Christmas that our truck would be legally his within a week if we didn't get him $1,400 for storage fees! At that moment after getting the run around and the only answer that we received was "I don't know" we got Jeff VanBuskirk to return our call at this moment my wife answered the phone and Jeff let her know that since WE where under investigation WE were responsible for the $1,400 my wife had some chosen words for him and at that moment after everything he told her hung up on her when he felt that my wife was being rude to him ha! We contacted Gene and he clearly said that it was his mistake and they would take care of it and put it in a GEICO storage facility (which we have voicemails admitting their mistakes) Then they send their investigator
Shannon Boyd wow don't even know how to start about her! She was late, dressed, unprofessionally, smelled like
cigarette smoke, and constantly texting on her phone! She blatantly blamed us saying that she was on the field for 12 years and that she knew there was more to the story then my wife was saying, after that her and my wife got into a shouting match after she pointed her finger at my wife I felt I had to intervene to avoid a physical confrontation! After that she handed me a consent to go through my bank statements, phone records, and credit report! My wife did NOT want me to sign it until
Shannon Boyd told me that if we did not cooperate that it was even going to take longer to get my vehicle so I signed it. After that she went to the Detective handling the case and twisted all the words that my wife had said to her liking putting us under investigation with the police department! After that we received a letter letting me know that me and my wife had to be interrogated under oath hmm okay and if we did not cooperate our claim would be denied! We drove 45 minutes to do this interrogation but prior to that on her letter she requested phone, maintenance, and bank records for 2010, not 2011 2010 (still have her paperwork) My wife was with me and her NOT being under the policy or owner of the vehicle I didn't understand why she had to be there I spoke to a GEICO representative who was actually helpful and she said that she would take care of things, since my wife and Shannon Boyd had already had an altercation I wanted to avoid another one since my wife is prone to Panic Attacks under strenuous situations (Medically recorded) When I showed up already there was tension between her and my wife I went and did the interrogation under oath and she asked for the documents I specifically let her know that I couldn't get the ones for 2010 when I showed her the paper she sent me she was upset and she told me "you knew I meant 2011" hmm no I didn't that was her mistake not mine! Then she asked me if I wanted my wife to do the interrogation I told her no to avoid a problem! Today I received a letter from Jeff VanBuskirk out of VA Beach in all types of legal corporate mumbo jumbo pretty much what I understood was that my claimed was being denied due to me not cooperating with GEICO Auto Insurance because I have not taken the documents listed ( The 2010 documents) that I could not get a hold of, and for refusal for my wife to appear to her schedule examination under oath, uh my wife was sitting in the lobby and I was clearly told that she didn't have to do it since yes my wife has nothing to do with the insurance or the vehicle! Second of all I have no issues giving out documents but how blatantly do you have to invade our private life? I just bought a new vehicle cause mine wasn't being fixed or resolved, yes a new vehicle after being blamed for financial difficulties and still insured it with GEICO! I have tried to locate Gene and Jeff to find out where my truck is to retrieve my Disabled Veteran license plates, have I even received a phone call back uh NO! I used to be extremely pleased with GEICO I used to give them but positive reviews now I'm looking into USAA and fixing my own freaking truck that oh yeah I just finished paying 7 months ago out of pocket! So disgusted how the Virginia department has treated us and how unprofessional they have acted like a bunch of disgruntled high school children because they don't like my wife! I also had to pay out of pocket for a
police report since another vehicle outside of our house got broken into and our home was also broken into at gun point and after all this mental anguishes and stress we are still being put through this and not being believed! I will never recommend GEICO to anyone ever again the way I feel right now the only good thing they have going for them is their commercials! 127d0fb
