I have trying to renew my policy and I can not get thru. I have been a good customer for years. My policy was cancelled and I would like to get it back.
I was in the hospital for open heart surgery. My policy was, I guess, put on hold.
I cannot get a live person to help me. Your phone message is very rude. They tell you to go online. I try to go online and when they recognize me, they tell me to call the main number.
I call the main number and they direct me to your website where they give me the same number you gave me on the last call.
I would appreciate a phone call at 203-214-****. Thank you, Ernest Mase.

Verified ReviewerFull Coverage vanished after I filled a claim. Now they aren’t going to cover my damages.
I purchased a vehicle from Hill Country Honda in San Antonio in the month of April 23. I had it financed and the insurance that they set up for it was through Geico. I have a document showing that that they got full coverage and required the full coverage on this vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE. Through GEICOs, *** faulty app. I checked my balances and premiums and it showed that I did not have full coverage, but liability only on the car. Anyways I had updated to full coverage and I even saw an increase in my premium so I thought it was good to go. Then one morning I was taking my friend to work and was in an accident involving a truck that was coming high-speed up on my driver side. I did not see it even though I checked my mirrors, it was coming up so fast. It slammed into the side of the car, making contact with the driver side, front fender. It literally did not slow down at all, and I barely even saw the vehicle myself. My passenger thought that the vehicle was green. I thought it was white. It was already out of sight before I could even find a spot to pull over & so I kept going & could not locate the vehicle after the accident. At that point, I chose to take my friend to work before she was late. After I let her out, I examined the vehicle and my front bumper was about to fall off & the front fender had some dents. I went home and contacted GEICO, filing a claim through the app where I uploaded screen shots of my maps showing the locations and times of the incident & a detailed description of what I had experienced. The adjuster responded with a phone call & asked me a few questions.They told me someone would be in touch to schedule an inspection. When I finally heard back from them 2 days later they said they located the other party & called to inform me they would continue processing the claim. I called to check on the status of the claim a couple more days later & shockingly they told me they were paying the damages for the truck as we were the party at fault. I was confused and inquired why they were not going to come and inspect my vehicle before making that decision. They said they talked with the other parties insurance company and came to that decision from the information I provided them. I was markedly irritated but asked when an adjuster would be available to come take pictures? At that point, the woman on the phone said, since I dont have full coverage, they dont do an assessment. I rebutted saying, no I know I have full coverage. Its a financed vehicle so I have to have full coverage. She said that I needed to check my policy because they dont have that in their records. Depressing news but not unbelievable, I had repeatedly attempted to input my phone number for their good driver program which would help lower the cost of the insurance. No matter how many times I updated my number in the app it would not ever put me in their file. The buggy UI kept coming back that the phone number wasnt in their system yet. I had updated my info almost every time I logged into the app so perhaps GEICO developers just dropped the ball??
I checked the policy online and she was right. She said if I find documentation of the changes to give them a call back. It was what it was, despite the changes I made. I looked extensively for the screen shots I took of the changes I made prior to the accident, but could not find any. I always screen shot something like that in the case something like this may happen. This time, I suppose I did not however I seem to remember that I did but why are they not in my phone?. Not sure why it was not full coverage in the 1st place when that is required and the dealership even set it up .Regardless, they would not be doing anything more for the claim.
So the car is still damaged. As a result, I lost time, money, was not
able to pay the insurance bill and ended up loosing coverage altogether.
Since August, I have had major difficulty in getting insurance for the car again as every application for it is denied. Nevermind that I pretty much had a spotless record on file with the DMV. This has caused damage I have to pay out of pocket for & I am at risk to get in more trouble for driving without coverage. It has stopped me from working with Uber because they lock you out of their platform if you are missing the current insurance. Now the car payments are getting behind and since were still struggling to make ends meet, there is a distinct possibility we may lose the car completely if they repo it.
So, to conclude, GEICO, is a bad insurance company. They have a very buggy app that is suspect for several reasons. It occurs to me that it is faulty in the ways that it is and not being updated by the developers for the purpose of causing discrepancies in coverage for the possibility of them not having to actually cover their customers, which is so shady and lame. Bold claim, but check it out for yourself. Just carry a separate policy with someone else for actual coverage.

Preferred solution: Coverage/& for fines resulting fr lapse of coverage. Honor policy update still requires me to pay ded 4 repairs. Undo underwriting keeping other ins.co.’s from insuring me. Amt to bring car payment current $1475
User's recommendation: Get a policy with a company that actually covers the vehicle when you are in an accident one that doesn’t hide behind glitches in their app that doesn’t reflect changes you make in your policy.

As of this morning, DMV Oroville reports that no electronic confirmation has been received from you. I was given registration and tabs based on my complaint of last year's identical situation.

Multiple attempts to resolve my issue. All resulted in AI transferring me in circles and then hanging up.
No response from Geico. So I went with Progressive. Representative was helpful and pleasant.
Answered all of my questions. I will never go back to geico again.
Horrible! They put someone else on my policy.
Using their app to take the information. Stayed I was estranged from them.
Then you cant get anyone to correct it! The automated recording says they dont give quotes over the phone!

To speak to a live person, instead of getting hung up on by your automated system.
I can't get reissued with my auto policy unless I go online. I have never had to resort to this way of doing business.
Quite frankly, I think it sucks that I cannot handle this with an agent. I will consider going elsewhere.

Customer Service Wait
As always, Hawaii continues to disappoint with its customer service. After being told that I would only need to wait for 4 minutes, 22 minutes later no one answered the phone.
Tried calling back, and I am still waiting to connect another 20 minutes later. "Hawaii time" is the bane of customer patience and willingness to keep using this product.
*** poor payment of claim. Took almost a month for an adjuster to show. First 1 would not return my call and then went on vacAtion. 2nd adjuster showed and had "computer problems" Now saying damage
Geicos customer hit my truck from behind and claimed resposibility. Adjuster stating all damage not from wreck.
Windshield did not leak on inside before wreck. Camper did not leak before wreck. Etc ETC ETC
NO compensation for missed work or money and time already spent to repair truck to previous condition before wreck so I could drive it again. Still can not drive after dark.
So more money spent. I have been honest and true.
Has Geico claims department? They enjoy their vacations while stressing out old people over a wreck that was NOT my fault.

Geico is a piece of *** company. Customer of 10 plus years without any accident and pay these greedy bastards with their bi annual price increases while car ages and when auto pay failed with credit card replacement, reinstated and raised my rates up 80 percent.
When I spoke to agent, the nastiest rep and her responses should be reviewed by management as she should be fired. I will look for another company as this is how they treat their long term risk free customer.

Hi My name is Eric Montague i guess my policy is cancelled but i got mail saying i got till the 19th i had problems with my bank card didnt realize that it was hook up to Geico. Any way ive been trying to call or even go thruogh the app but it keeps shutting me down please help me so i can get this problem fixed. Difficulty in reaching anyone who would answer question of $40 a month increase. Called for local agent whom I was not able to reach - tried for 2 hours on Wednesday April17.
Finally gave up and called another company who gave me a better rate, explained thoroughly the policy, and was helpful.
I want the auto policy with Geico cancelled as of April 18 and no further deductions from my checking account. JoAnn Seymour

Billing issues
The auto pay was not activated and they did not pick the correct and to use and showed i would be canceled. The issue was resolved

I left GEICO this week after over two decades as a customer. They raised my auto rates significantly without any notification or explanation. I am now a happy customer elsewhere (better coverage, lower cost, and enhanced customer service).
