GEICO - CUSTOMER SERVICE REP THOUGHT SHE HUNG UP, BUT DIDNT
After calling and trying to get a better price on my Umbrella policy as they raised it 6% and I don’t have any claims, just bought a year ago and it is expiring. She said she couldn’t do anything and i said i would look elsewhere.
The bigger issue at hand is, she thought i hung up and i DID NOT. She started berating me, slandering me and talking down about what i do in my profession (Geico has that info on my job title as i work for a big pharm company) and making fun of me for calling about the increase. All this is being done by her to other colleagues at GEICO in the customer service department. They were laughing and belittleing me thinking I hung up the phone on my end.
She finally realized that she did not hang up, i had to talk with her supervisor about the incident and neither one cared or did anything to make it right. It is documented at Geico, wonder what Warren Buffet would think about this kind of treatment to his customer base. Geico has no sensitivity when it comes to its customers, your just a $ figure and number.
Now it make you think what all Geico customer service employees say about customers when they call in, now we know...they talk crap about the customer and they have private information they share and disparaged youon. They are pathetic and i hop there management reads this, I haven’t even asked my attorney about this yet.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

All customer call centers do that. Heck, all customer service jobs period do that.
If you get snippy with them they will talk about you to co workers. Completely legal too.
I hate Geico and I would love to see a law suit that would bring them to their knees, but on this point, welcome to the real world. People talk about you and your don't own their opinion of you.
Hey! Don't disparage the entire customer service industry, that's not fair.
I'm in customer service (at an insurance agency no less) and I would NEVER behave that way in response to my customers. I work for a small family agency rather than a big corp like Geico, but even the most frustrating customers deserve my respect - it's my job. As far as a lawsuit, that won't happen because these people aren't doing anything illegal.
Making fun of people isn't illegal it's just mean...and unprofessional. So sorry you had this experience.
