Trying to cover up a bit and run and not doing there job!
So my Audi S7 was parked out on the street in the town of Los at 3:00 a.m. on September 15th 2023 I was contacted by the police department stating my car had been hit by a hit and run driver and to come out side and check out the damage to my vehicle.
Some 22 year old driver fell asleep or was drunk and sideswiped my car and totaled it. He ran and fled the scene. The following morning he tried to claim his car but, the police found it and impounded it and had a 30 day hold on the vehicle & so on and so on. I contacted the police they finally released the name of the driver and the insurance company which was Geico and Geico not only did they not come out and do an inspection on my vehicle, they required me to take videos or footage or pictures of the damage to determine them out of damage.
They tried to say that there was only $5,900 in damage because the kids policy was only up to $5,000 in property damage yeah he totaled my $40,000 car. Geico has been trying to get me to settle for $5,000 this entire time it's been over a period Of 6 months since I have not had my vehicle due to their lack of follow through with inspection on vehicles, not in falling Insurance protocols, and leaving me stranded with no vehicle and no way to cover the losses that this, driver caused me.
I have the police report in my favor I have taken it to local repair shops three of them to be exact to get quotes All Above $40,000 and damage yet Geico won't come out and take the car to their repair facility and repair it cuz it was in perfect condition before that kid hit my car but Geico's trying to get out of it by only paying $5,000 which is BS and I will be filing a grievance with the consumer affairs insurance department against them and file a lawsuit for there dull diligence in covering losses that they're insured caused. By the way the da in my county is picking this up as a hit and run case and the kid will be held accountable in a court of law for his actions which I believe is a felony at this point from the amount of damage he caused and I believe it's a year behind in prison and retribution and fines also have to file a lawsuit against the driver to collect my losses on top of that so I am more than pissed about the situation that Geico has caused me
User's recommendation: Hire an attorney for demand letters and file lawsuit immediately do not try to be an understanding victim and try to give them an easy way out because they're just trying to screw you in every way.

Geico is basically a joke of an insurance policy provider considering their policy holder had totaled my vehicle then ran and was involved in a hit-and-run now I've been without a car for already 2 months and I drive a nice 2012 Audi RS7 which their driver totaled causing more than $40,000 in damage and they go and tell me that they would only cover $5,000 of the damage because that was all that was on the policy. I hope Geico knows that because of their actions their policyholder will be serving a sentence for a hit and run felony for a minimum of 2 to 5 years in prison and will be held liable for the damages personally instead of through your so-called insurance company for restitution and criminal court and civil court not only did you guys not inform your driver that they should probably proactively fix their issues so their case would be in their benefit but as I see it there is nothing you have done to help fix my car and I hope the judge takes in your consideration of neglect and apply furthest extent of the law and him being only 22 years old the rest of his life is pretty over from a driving
Preferred solution: All I want is my car to be fixed and it replaced as it was before the driver hit my car
User's recommendation: GEICO is horrible and they consider letting there policy holder do prison time

This *** company is not mine.GEICO is a nasty, disgusting, scammer, burglar, thief and brazen company and I do not recommend anyone to have GEICO insurance, and if you already have GEICO insurance, give it up very quickly
On December 7, 2023, during of work while I was taking another Uber trip (Passenger Ms. Maria was in my car), Ardy Baugh rear-ended my car and broke the trunk, bumper, and trunk lock while I was standing under a red light of traffic light.
Ardy Baugh, without saying a word, admitted his guilt and handed me a driver's license, New York car registration and GEICO insurance, and on December 8, 2023, I took my car to the body shop and filed a case that same day. I then sent GEICO all the videos and photos taken by my car's dash cam (Video: inside, front and back), but untill today, GEICO has not paid for repairs to my car or compensated me for the days I don't work due to the fault of GEICO insured person Ardy Baugh.
My car is still broken, I don't work and earn, but GEICO keeps sending me the stupidest emails just to not fix my car and not compensate me for the days I don't work, including: 1) Offering me to rent $300-$350 car from Uber and a job, and 2) Suggests that I contact my insurance company and ask my insurance company to do everything instead of GEICO and then increase my car insurance payout.
Ardy Baugh, if you are reading this, then know that I am preparing to go to court, and through the court you yourself, from your own pocket, will repair my car, which you crashed, and compensate for all the money that I did not work and did not earn due to your fault, from December 08, 2023 until the date of the court decision.
Then you'll have to deal with your own *** company, GEICO.

GEICO is a nasty, disgusting, scammer, burglar, thief and brazen company and I do not recommend anyone to have GEICO insurance, and if you already have GEICO insurance, give it up very quickly so that after accidents (God forbid) your fault, you won't face another new problem from GEICO, like GEICO's insured client, Ardy Baugh.

Verified ReviewerFull Coverage vanished after I filled a claim. Now they aren’t going to cover my damages.
I purchased a vehicle from Hill Country Honda in San Antonio in the month of April 23. I had it financed and the insurance that they set up for it was through Geico. I have a document showing that that they got full coverage and required the full coverage on this vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE. Through GEICOs, *** faulty app. I checked my balances and premiums and it showed that I did not have full coverage, but liability only on the car. Anyways I had updated to full coverage and I even saw an increase in my premium so I thought it was good to go. Then one morning I was taking my friend to work and was in an accident involving a truck that was coming high-speed up on my driver side. I did not see it even though I checked my mirrors, it was coming up so fast. It slammed into the side of the car, making contact with the driver side, front fender. It literally did not slow down at all, and I barely even saw the vehicle myself. My passenger thought that the vehicle was green. I thought it was white. It was already out of sight before I could even find a spot to pull over & so I kept going & could not locate the vehicle after the accident. At that point, I chose to take my friend to work before she was late. After I let her out, I examined the vehicle and my front bumper was about to fall off & the front fender had some dents. I went home and contacted GEICO, filing a claim through the app where I uploaded screen shots of my maps showing the locations and times of the incident & a detailed description of what I had experienced. The adjuster responded with a phone call & asked me a few questions. They told me someone would be in touch to schedule an inspection. When I finally heard back from them 2 days later they said they located the other party & called to inform me they would continue processing the claim. I called to check on the status of the claim a couple more days later & shockingly they told me they were paying the damages for the truck as we were the party at fault. I was confused and inquired why they were not going to come and inspect my vehicle before making that decision. They said they talked with the other parties insurance company and came to that decision from the information I provided them. I was markedly irritated but asked when an adjuster would be available to come take pictures? At that point, the woman on the phone said, since I dont have full coverage, they dont do an assessment. I rebutted saying, no I know I have full coverage. Its a financed vehicle so I have to have full coverage. She said that I needed to check my policy because they dont have that in their records. Depressing news but not unbelievable, I had repeatedly attempted to input my phone number for their good driver program which would help lower the cost of the insurance. No matter how many times I updated my number in the app it would not ever put me in their file. The buggy UI kept coming back that the phone number wasnt in their system yet. I had updated my info almost every time I logged into the app so perhaps GEICO developers just dropped the ball??
I checked the policy online and she was right. She said if I find documentation of the changes to give them a call back. It was what it was, despite the changes I made. I looked extensively for the screen shots I took of the changes I made prior to the accident, but could not find any. I always screen shot something like that in the case something like this may happen. This time, I suppose I did not however I seem to remember that I did but why are they not in my phone?. Not sure why it was not full coverage in the 1st place when that is required and the dealership even set it up .Regardless, they would not be doing anything more for the claim.
So the car is still damaged. As a result, I lost time, money, was not
able to pay the insurance bill and ended up loosing coverage altogether.
Since August, I have had major difficulty in getting insurance for the car again as every application for it is denied. Nevermind that I pretty much had a spotless record on file with the DMV. This has caused damage I have to pay out of pocket for & I am at risk to get in more trouble for driving without coverage. It has stopped me from working with Uber because they lock you out of their platform if you are missing the current insurance. Now the car payments are getting behind and since were still struggling to make ends meet, there is a distinct possibility we may lose the car completely if they repo it.
So, to conclude, GEICO, is a bad insurance company. They have a very buggy app that is suspect for several reasons. It occurs to me that it is faulty in the ways that it is and not being updated by the developers for the purpose of causing discrepancies in coverage for the possibility of them not having to actually cover their customers, which is so shady and lame. Bold claim, but check it out for yourself. Just carry a separate policy with someone else for actual coverage.
- Insured me at the dealership
- High premiums for quality of service
- Folds to opposing parties insurance easily
- Bad app
Preferred solution: Coverage/& for fines resulting fr lapse of coverage. Honor policy update still requires me to pay ded 4 repairs. Undo underwriting keeping other ins.co.’s from insuring me. Amt to bring car payment current $1475
User's recommendation: Get a policy with a company that actually covers the vehicle when you are in an accident one that doesn’t hide behind glitches in their app that doesn’t reflect changes you make in your policy.

IF you want to be scammed out of THOUSANDS of dollars, then I recommend using Geico. I have been a customer of Geico for 7 years and very happy with their car insurance, probably because I have NEVER needed to use it before now.
I got into. minor accident - photos attached and Geico found me at fault and somehow the damage to the car was $4000 worth of damage. Better yet - they don't notify me of this until 7 MONTHS after my accident, when they decide that my premium is going to go up $200. And even better - because I had been so happy with their services - I purchased on umbrella policy through them and at that time, due to changes require of my auto policy for the umbrella policy) ASKED the insurance broker if my insurance rate was going to go up for future payments AND WAS TOLD YES BY $6.
IM SORRY. Unacceptable.
Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone speaking with 5 different individuals and NO ONE could provide any assistance. And don't get me wrong - I understand having an accident leads to increase in insurance rates, but this minor accident does not warrant DOUBLING my insurance annually and NOT being informed about it, especially when I was speaking about cost of insurance wit an agent on 8/4/2023 RUN FAR AND FAST FROM THIS COMPANY!!
- Good insurance unless you nave to use them

Verified Reviewer | Apopka, FloridaGot charged for uninsured motorist after I declined it for 4 years.
They miscalculated my insurance. I was never told uninsured motorist was going to be added.
I have been with Geico for 4 years, never had uninsured motorist. My insurance was lapsed for 1 week, they resold me another insurance and added uninsured motorist. Came December, there was discount added onto my acct and my payment now almost doubled. No one wants to remove the uninsured price.
Every single one of customer service and managers refused to take fault. Once I get another insurance, I will pull my mortgage insurance as well. My insurance is due for cancelation on tomorrow 1make sure you question everything, there is no customerservice, thet are only there to collect your money and blame the state/23. I'm ashamed and angry with them.
I told the lady no I never had it for 4 years, I don't want it now. So she mail and stated she emaid it to me without any explanation. I was always a model and loyal customer. .
But Geico customer service people wants to added something I always rejected which is the uninsured motorist.. I need help from who ever can listen to me please.
I'm a si gle mother, I have 2 cars with a college student living with me. I'm tired.
User's recommendation: Make sure you keep records. They are here to collect your money and resale you insurance with uninsured motorist that you do not need or rejected.
Policy problems
User's recommendation: Make sure that the person who signs you up for a policy knows what their talking about. The guy who assigned my policy said I couldn't get full coverage because I hadn't driven or had insurance for over 5years and I could only get liability for 6 months then I could upgrade to full coverage. All they told me was their sorry.so my cut off date is December 15th.

You should have involved your insurance company from day 1. Not because you were at fault or were filing a claim with them, but to protect yourself. You are very lucky your passenger isn’t claiming an injury.
