Get auto insurance

I have had Geico for years and sent my lease back as the time was due to and Geico told me to Call back when I get a new car and to put my insurance on pause. Im trying to get insurance on a new car and cannot get a customer service agent!! I was on hold for 3 hours and on the chat line for 4 and then was booted off. Needless to say, Im pissed!! No more Geico!!

IF you want to be scammed out of THOUSANDS of dollars, then I recommend using Geico. I have been a customer of Geico for 7 years and very happy with their car insurance, probably because I have NEVER needed to use it before now. I got into. minor accident - photos attached and Geico found me at fault and somehow the damage to the car was $4000 worth of damage. Better yet - they don't notify me of this until 7 MONTHS after my accident, when they decide that my premium is going to go up $200. And even better - because I had been so happy with their services - I purchased on umbrella policy through them and at that time, due to changes require of my auto policy for the umbrella policy) ASKED the insurance broker if my insurance rate was going to go up for future payments AND WAS TOLD YES BY $6. IM SORRY. Unacceptable. Spent nearly 2 hours on the phone speaking with 5 different individuals and NO ONE could provide any assistance. And don't get me wrong - I understand having an accident leads to increase in insurance rates, but this minor accident does not warrant DOUBLING my insurance annually and NOT being informed about it, especially when I was speaking about cost of insurance wit an agent on 8/4/2023 RUN FAR AND FAST FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Supposedly Geico has this new thing going where the Underwriting Dept sends a notice of needing multiple copies of documents to continue my policy. Well I received their letter 5 days into their 8 days required turnaround time. I immediately copied everything they needed (12 pages) and sent it back. It's been over a week since they should have received it. I got another letter 2 days ago stating they were cancelling my policy as I had not sent them what they asked. I called the number AGAIN on the letter from underwriting, only to be told by a SIXTH (6th) time from their "service dept" that all they could do is notate my account that I called. Allegedly they have "no way to contact the underwriting department" (BS) I told them they needed to notate that I want a call specifically from that department. Still waiting after 2 days. My Geico dashboard shows my insurance is set to be canceled in October but every time I talk to someone they say I have to wait and see what the decision is. Not sure if I'm going to have insurance with these people a month from now. Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!

I received the same letter.. I logged in verified the information the underwriting department requested everything is correct but they are still requesting the form be filled out and sent it.

Clearly it states you can provide this information by logging in to your policy. They could not transfer me to an underwriter whom is requesting this info they claim not even a GEICO agent can talk to an underwriter

In my line of business, I work with insurance companies on a daily basis. Were you work with one insurance agent one claims adjuster. When you call Geico, every single time you get a different agent and weve had four adjusters. Im assuming the wondrous Adjuster got fired for telling us that they would pay us out $4700 on our trailer that was pulled behind one of their clients with full coverage on his vehicle. im not positive if that is the fact, but after that when the guy called several of their agents told us that they didnt know what the policy covered and full coverage doesnt say that its the for the trailer and the truck that was on it theyre still trying to figure out if the trucks covered or not because the truck that was fully insured full coverage insured by Geico rolled with a trailer that was ours and a truck on the back of it. So they took about 3 to 4 weeks to get an adjuster out to take care of our trailer and to tell us they still dont know if its covered or not and to wait for we are six weeks to tell us actually eight weeks. My apologies to tell us that its not covered and we have to pay to get it out of the impound or the tow yard so that being said. We go onto the second part of the story for instants the truck that was on the trailer still not sure if theyre gonna cover it or whats going on with it so thats its been June July 7 since this accident mind you. But now the insured person got his truck back But our trailer and the other truck that were pulled behind. This truck are still in impound or the tow yard and so the insured party called because he was leaving town and was going to pull a trailer that had no insurance on it so he asked one of their agents. How is my coverage and what do I have to do? Do I need to get insurance on my trailer as well or what I need an insurance card for it or pay for insurance or what not. The agent proceeds to tell him that he does not need to cover the trailer. He is pulling behind him as long as its on his truck it is fully covered by his insurance and states its been the same policy the entire time, sir youre just fine so you can pull that trailer you dont need to get coverage . Im not sure if I am wrong in the situation or what anybody else thinks but that agent stated that what Ive been saying the entire time the truck was pulling the trailer. Therefore it is part of the truck the truck is fully insured and Geico tells me several times even hangs up on me and laughs in my face stating that its not covered maam you need to read the policy. I dont know Ive talk to you a different person agent every single time I called one has been very helpful. One was actually helpful and thats it out of everybody. It is the most in personable agency Ive ever worked with in my life and I work with insurance agents every single day in my line of work, as far as Im concerned, Geico is the worst insurance agency Ive ever heard of in my entire life or dealt with I should say so Im sorry Im so pissed off about the situation with them its unreal. I dont think anyone should ever go through Geico because they are the worst customer service, and knowledgeable people about their jobs and they rip people off obviously. .

After more than15 years, with auto-pay and without insurance claims, GEICO canceled my car insurance policy under the excuse that I did not make my last monthly payment, I called to find out why GEICO did not charge my bank account and was told that that my auto-pay was deactivated. GEICO did not allow paying the premium that was due less than 24 hours before my call. I wanted to reactivate my car insurance policy and GEICO agreed if I accepted an increase of almost 25% in my premium. Unethical way to increase prices!

I rather pay lots of money, to an insurance, that has my back, rather than, be a customer of Geico, and pay an affordable amount, just to not have my vehicle fixed and to deal with a person who I never met, "Called an adjuster."

To whom that it may concern, I would like to take this time to explain, how especially, negligent, the adjuster that had been assigned to me, had been. I made sure that I had filed a claim concerning my, gray/black, 2014 Nissan Rouge. I made sure I had taken the proper steps. I called Geico to help tow my vehicle to a Garage close to where I broke down. Then, waited until an Adjuster named Shawn, had been assigned to me. He didn't assist me and my family, not even the least. My car had never been fixed properly, as I am still waiting for my vehicle to be fixed properly and It's almost a month-in- a half, since the accident- date of accident- July 21st 2023. I have last spoken with Mr. Shawn, August 28th, 2023, before the Labor Day holiday, and negotiated what we should do with my car's repairs. We spoke about having my vehicle towed to a repair Garage that is closer to where I reside, which is in Chesapeake. However, when I called the Garage, the one farther away. The staff stated that no-one came to pick the car up. So, my car is still sitting in a Virginia Beach, Garage. Now, I am on my own to fix my car, of course, when, I transport it to another Garage. Please intervene, any-way possible, in order for me to complete the repairs, on my vehicle, as well as to give Geico another chance to redeem for a possibility of a positive feedback. Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can give at this time.

I need to drop a vehicle and change my policy on the vehicle that I'm keeping. I don't have access to Wi-Fi and when I call a customer service number I go in circles over and over with the phone robot. I'm changing companies not being able to get a hold of a live human being to help you and having to talk to a stupid robot is ridiculous

Horrible Customer Service

I had Geico for years for auto and homeowners insurance. They used to be a good company. I don't know what's happened in the last 5 years but they've gone COMPLETELY DOWNHILL. I had to call 3 times to simply get a Letter of Experience from them. The first time they said no problem we'll email it within 48 hours. I never received the email so called back a second time. They said they had no record of me calling the first time??? So I requested the letter again. They emailed it within a few days and the letter was inaccurate. It said "since my policy inception" date which was incorrect. So I called a third time and got a very unhelpful, indignant customer service rep who said "we don't go back that far". What? 2.5 years is not that far. They told me I had to go call Lexis Nexis as they refused to help. WOW. I called my other insurance company that I had previous to Geico and they sent me the letter within 5 minutes and offered to put in a request to their underwriting team to go back further than 5 years. No problem. The difference in customer service between Geico and my other insurance company is night and day. STAY AWAY FROM GEICO.
