Unhappiness of automated phone service

Would like an option to go directly to a customer service representative. Automated system hung up on me twice while I was trying to pay my sons auto billing!!! Finally, a service representative came on and everything was handled quickly!! My kids are with GEICO because I used to be with it, but changed because of the push for online or automated service

I have no problem with GEICO

Nothing happened I do not know why I got this message. But I am replying to it. Im getting frustrated with this survey. It wont let me go through with what I have to say Ive already said what I needed to say and it keeps on asking me for more information sorry nothing against your people at all they were wonderful websites need some work though.

Huge increase in condo policy cost

I switched to GEICO for auto and condo insurance as it saved about $150/year over State Farm. At first renewal my condo policy (provided by Travelers through GEICO) increased from $280/year to $422/year - a 50.7% increase! The agent said that since my condo has built in sprinklers she could reduce the annual cost by $2 (wow!). If I want a discount for the central fire alarm system I would need to obtain from the HOA management company a Certificate of Installation. This would result in a whopping $1/year additional discount. What a joke!

User's recommendation: GEICO is a good company, but be careful of low-ball initial policy prices, especially if they get you homeowner's, condo or renter's insurance through Travelers.

My son was practicing for his driver license parking my vehicle in front of my house few times. When my son was done of practicing he was parking my vehicle in our driveway when this driver hits my vehicle on the back passenger door!

Check mailed 12-13-2020 has been received and not cashed.

Called corporate office twice with no response or call back from corporate.. Called 4 times with customer support, and last Saturday your agent stated the check was being processed now. . Check was received and still not cashed. What is the problem. Lynn Pecjak

NO COMPLAINTS

Our whole family has been on Geico for numerous years, at times our premiums have increased and I have reached out to many other companies to compare, Geico has consistently been our best and least expensive option. Every time we have had to file a claim they have handled it with ease and pleasantness.

Poor Repair Service

I had my car repaired by Geico express at Columbia and the repair company must left off some seals on the right side. Wind was pouring in my window. I took it back and they did some adjustments and it got better for a few months. Now it has returned and I can hear the wind blowing inside my right side through the vents as I drive. I am so frustrated with this situation and feel I got poor repairs performed on my vehicle. I have been with Geico for over twenty years and never had this problem before after it has been serviced. My car is not resellable as it is.

My car fixed properly and eliminate wind from coming through vents in right side of car

They're ok by me,

I have used Geico Roadside Assistance 2x, they've been pretty good by me. I now have a travel trailer which is covered, but I have not had to call for help. Curious if they're as good on TT's as they are with autos...

Canceled without notice

I walked out to my car this morning and found a flat tire with a nail in it. A simple fix for an assistance call, so I filed a claim. GEICO informed me that their Underwriters had canceled my roadside assistance coverage 6 months ago. I obviously had no idea this was the case. They claimed that I "abused" their system (turns out I had made 12 calls over 3 years, for 2 different vehicles) 3 calls were lock-outs, 2 were flats, 1 was a jump. The other 6 were tows to a mechanic.

I'm glad to see the insurance agents sticking up for each other. Answer this question if you can: I pay each month for a service, I use that service, the service is then canceled.

Here's the question: Why am I being penalized for using a service that I paid for?

Why is roadside assistance even offered if you are going to punish people that use it? Your whole industry is a scam.

Insurance agent here.....not with Geico. They are well within their rights to cancel your coverage if they determine there were too many claims filed, HOWEVER, a 60-day notice of cancellation is required for any reason other than non-payment on all coverages and it has to go out in the mail.

Is it possible you missed a mailed notice?

Honestly I would demand that they show you proof of the document with the date it was mailed. If they did it legally they will have that evidence.

Do you open mailed notices ? It's incumbent upon you to know what you do or don't have.

12 calls over 3 years averages out to 4 calls per year. What do you consider an average amount of calls in a year?

Consider that I've had my policy for over a decade and never been in an accident. That's almost $15k I've spent and seen $0 in return. But I lock my keys in the car or drive over a nail one time too many and all of a sudden my money isn't good enough?

Complete and utter scam - the whole industry is designed to take money in while doing as much as possible to deny claims or service. Shame on all of you insurance con artists - get a real job!

NOT THE GEICO I USED TO KNOW...LEAVING AFTER 30 YEARS.......

I lived in the Houston Texas area and have been a customer of GEICO since 1988, almost 30 years and they increased my premium after one claim for $1200! Said it was because the claim was over $1,000 NEVER MIND it was my only claim. WTH if I am charged for the claim then why the heck do I need their insurance? I could have paid $1200 myself had I known its an increase in premium forever as they sure don't go down after they increase your premiums! BTW, They say "Oh but you are still a preferred customer". Well I prefer to go elsewhere Dear GEICO. NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM LOOKING TO LEAVE ON PRINCIPLE ALONE. i AM SO SICK OF CORPORATE GREED AND PEOPLE NOT BEING FIRST IN THIS NEW WORLD OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS.
