My rate increases from $286 to $513 and I do not have an explanation. I would like a breakdown of the additional charges.

Had trouble getting to a live person while at DMV. However, I was able to use the internet to resolve my issue. A live person would be nice at times but other then that GEICO has been a good company

see above comment. Live person availability on short notice would be helpful. lllll this survey is annoying because I made my comment and it still wanted more.

User's recommendation: don't try to get a live person in an emergency situation.

Coverage

I didn't know collision was not covered. I just assumed it was, my bad. My4Runner was sideswiped so bad that it to be towed. And if I have to pay for repairs, I'm dead in the water. Lesson learned. -Tom Topolinski

NOT pissed

Geico was very responsive to my concern regarding my non-functioning car. The agent asked if I was in a safe place. I made sure that towing was covered by calling before towing and that the particular towing company would be covered.

Resolved: Increase in umbrella policy premium

I called and was helped by another agent with the Geico umbrella policy. They did a policy review, and the explanation of the increase was much clearer.

My daughter is considered a youthful operation, but when she turns 25 this year, we'll be able to return to our regular rates. Glad that I pursued this, as I really like Geico as a whole!.

Last year we obtained an umbrella policy with Geico for $389 for the year. We just received a bill to renew the policy for $642. Unbelievable 65% increase. When I called to question this, the agent said that the increased rate is due to the rising cost of medical expenses in Colorado. I am shocked and disappointed in Geico as a company for doing this. It is completely unacceptable, and we will be shopping for a different car insurance and umbrella policy today.

Geico insurance has never been the cheapest. Always best to get quotes from other companies, but stay away from online companies like Progressive, etc. Find one with a local agent so if you have a problem you can sit down and discuss it with him.

CAlled in to get information about the claim, and this lady AMBER # 228061 said she couldnt help me , and refused to transfer the call and then started getting condisending , and insluted . Be littled , I called 3 other times , and was helped very easily , AMBER refused to help and keep repeating no one can help you and i dont know where to transfer the call no one else can help you, had to hang up and call another department to get help

Great Customer Service

Customer service means a lot to me! I want to thank Jackie Culverhouse for her EXCELLENT SERVICE she gave me. Jackie was concern about my needs and met all of them and she answered all my calls. Customer service means alot you don't get that anymore. I have swiched service do to POOR customer service. GEICO show her you apprecite a job well done!! Also, hire more people like her. Way to go Jackie Culverhouse.

Adjusters inspection

I came to get an adjuster to look at my vehicle after filing a claim and upon reaching the location the adjuster attitude was very callous and he treated me as though I was a suspect rather then a paying customer. He started inspecting my vehicle and repeatedly cut my car off and on as if he was trying to cause further damage he was taking oics if my dash lights as though he was trying to discredit my claim. His attitude was very unprofessional. I don’t know what his attitude was for I came in a few minutes early to make him aware that I was present for our 11:30 appointment and he spoke to me as if I was a child telling me “ I’m with another customer you can’t sit outside until I’m through!” I held my composure and humbly went outside. When he finally began inspecting the vehicle I had pointed out the scratches and he started speaking on other damages as if what I pointed out didn’t matter.... I felt he should have just inspected the issues I was pointing out in my claim. He was going through all sorts of stuff that had nothing to do with the damages I was reporting!!!

Because you file a claim. His job is to make sure that you are truthful and honest.

I gets it he is probably an *** of doing that and I will ding him for that.

But in a way, he is doing his job to make sure your claim is what you say it is, not less, and not more! If your claim is for a simple scratch and your car looks like it just survive a mayhem then no wonder he will question every little detail of your car.

I understand everyone has to do their job. But with a *** attitude ?

I have had insurance with geico for 6 years and alwas paid. My truck was stolen and when recovered it had been a total loss due to the thief setting it on fire. This has been devastating to me. That vehicle was big enough for 4 growing boys one of them is special needs.

So now I am treated like *** and have no help with anything . My credit is now screwed up and I am renting a car daily to make it to work. I can't afford the rental car but I have no choice.

This has been one of the worst things to ever happen and to be treated like a lowlife or criminal from my insurance company thst I chose is very eye opening. I don't know if I will stay with geico after this.

I was on my way to New Jersey motor vehicles to pay a surcharge when I stopped at a used car dealer to look at a few trucks. Fell in love with one and bought it outright. Called Geico to insure the truck and a Geico rep said, "You have not paid your NJ surcharge, so we'll have to raise your rate $300." I said I was on my way to pay it, but I did a reversal, and that $300. is FOR that surcharge. In the end I'm in the hole $300. I allowed them to raise it as I was on the spot, in a dealers office. That's not All, I was told to do an online form and an online signature. I tried several times to no avail. Every time I hit SUBMIT it didn't go through. I repeatedly made Geico aware of my problem. No one told me I could simply go to a Geico store and sign a form there. With work a week went by and I was told my rate had to go up an additional $300. for not getting that online signature up. I did find and get to a Geico store and went to physically sign that form. But was told to call the 1 800 number to make sure that my faxed signature did get through, and had to fight to rid of that additional $300. charge. In the end they got me for just under $18. I had also asked to pay for the Entire year in Full and was sold a standard 6 month policy and I absolutely do not recall being informed it was only a 6 month plan. Pure inconvenience complements of my little green buddy.
