Horrible claim service

Accident in June 2024, submitted claim within a few days. Adjuster totalled vehicle.

Was advised a few days later paperwork would be sent to me for payment only for them to back pedal and state they needed to "waif and see" if DOT would be filing a claim for guardrail, that no claims can be paid until all received.

HOWEVER they paid car rental company where my family member is without a vehicle and payments due on a totalled car for 2 months now! Multi million dollar company withholding payment to a poor single mom.

Subo claims with Geico

So, I didn't talk to GEICO, but a subo claims department that associate with GEICO insurance. Representative Name was Paul who handled my call.

I was told, I owe the claims of $7,500! And was told how I want to handle this? I told him that's a lot and I don't have that kind of money. And he was willing to go to $5,000.

So, I wanted to take it to court. Yes, I'll own up that i didn't have insurance at the time. I just started at a job! I told him that, and he said "that no excuses".

And when i wanted to take up to court. This Paul guy said "WELL, WE CAN LAWYER UP TOO!" "AND WE CAN SUE YOU FOR NOT HAVING INSURANCE! AND TAKE AWAY YOUR LICENSE AND REGISTRATION!". Very unprofessional person, i ask to talk to someone else.

And he keeps wanting to argue with me and telling me i didn't let him give me some kind of code number to proceed. He was mostly talking, so i hung up. I want documents and proof of what i am up against. Before i agree to anything.

How it started; I was trying to back up into a parking space at a QT which is a private property. And a black or dark tesla was waiting for me and i checked all my surroundings and no one was entering yet at a QT driveway entrance. So I resume to reverse and look at my review mirror. And out of nowhere a fast Honda Odyssey van goes behind of me while i was backing up and i bumped into him on the driver door.

The driver didn't look at my way till hit him. I know he didn't see me, just assumed the lot was empty for him to be fast by on. No dent on his ride, but mines got couple scratches and minor bump. The driver too was telling me that his ride was a 40g vehicle and I have to pay right away or else...

So I told the driver i don't have any money, just enough for a meal.

And he said "well this vehicle has to be fixed". And trust me I didn't hit him that hard and i work on cars, there was barely any damage at all.

My bumper got the scratches and minor dent. Something was suspicious as i member typing all this down.

I DEMAND AN AUDIT AS TO WHY MY CAR INSURANCE IS SO HIGH!I am reaching out regarding my current policy and demanding an audit be completed on my account as it has been severely overpriced for the past five years! I genuinely believe something is incorrect or wrong in your system, or I'm being billed double the amount.

I have no tickets, no points, and no accidents; why have I been paying well over $350 a month for ONE vehicle? There were times when it was almost $600 a month! Could you PLEASE look into this for me, as I cannot continue to afford this outrageous amount, especially with NOTHING that would justify such a high rate. I've contacted Geico customer service numerous times, and they always attribute my high insurance to the rising cost of living while being extremely rude and unprofessional, even laughing at me on the phone.

Could someone please investigate this for me? I strongly believe I'm being double charged or something is severely wrong with my policy as I'm being charged well over 2k for a six-month policy WITH NO TICKETS, NO POINTS, AND NO ACCIDENTS!

I cannot afford this any longer, and I would greatly regret having to switch to another insurance. PLEASE, I am begging you!

Figure it out ? Shop around.

You're out whatever you've paid up to this time but you can stop the bleeding. That's an egregious tariff for car insurance unless you have a horrible record or a really expensive car with full collision coverage.

Geico has lied about what they did to get a estimate on my claim they said that they had sent someone out which they hadn't, they based their estimate on some pictures that I took with my own phone and never sent anybody out I took my car to the repair shop and they estimated a total loss at $40,000 and Geico only wants to pay $5,000 saying they did their dual diligence but didn't do anything now they sent me a letter saying that they are considering this case closed without any reimbursement of any kind they should not only be held accountable but sued in court for not following the laws of insurance in California if anybody knows a good lawyer I could really use the help I have all the documents with the police report and the repair quotes thank you for your time and reading my review

Geico is basically a joke of an insurance policy provider considering their policy holder had totaled my vehicle then ran and was involved in a hit-and-run now I've been without a car for already 2 months and I drive a nice 2012 Audi RS7 which their driver totaled causing more than $40,000 in damage and they go and tell me that they would only cover $5,000 of the damage because that was all that was on the policy. I hope Geico knows that because of their actions their policyholder will be serving a sentence for a hit and run felony for a minimum of 2 to 5 years in prison and will be held liable for the damages personally instead of through your so-called insurance company for restitution and criminal court and civil court not only did you guys not inform your driver that they should probably proactively fix their issues so their case would be in their benefit but as I see it there is nothing you have done to help fix my car and I hope the judge takes in your consideration of neglect and apply furthest extent of the law and him being only 22 years old the rest of his life is pretty over from a driving

Fender Benders = TOTAL LOSS OF VEHICLE!!

Had this happen twice in three years! Geico insisted on a pay out for TOTAL LOSS write-off on my vehicles after very minor fender benders (one I was at-fault with another car, one happened to my parked car).

The amount they offered me was above market value both times, so I accepted. And of course my rates skyrocketed.

My cars tracking device showed it ended up at a salvage auction where Im sure Geico got top dollar as both vehicles were in excellent condition despite Geico calling them a total loss.

So by making a minor fender bender claim, Geico PROFITS by:

- doubling my rates

- obtaining ownership of my perfectly good vehicle

- selling my vehicle as salvage at top dollar

- and then making me pay them $500 for my deductible

And I have no choice as my state requires me to have car insurance.

Just like in the medical field, INSURANCE IS A SCAM!!

For my Tesla Model 3 windshield replacement, if I go with the Tesla service center, they are not reimbursing the amount after the deductible, whereas with other glass companies, they are paying more. But due to camera calibration, I need to go with Tesla.A lot of accident reported due to improper camera calibration by other glass company.It's been a horrible experience...

no one knows anything, calls are just being transferred from one person to another. Very disappointing and a bad experience.

Very bad experience with auto insurance for windshield replacement.

They refused to reimburse if I go with the Tesla service center. A lot of accidents are reported due to improper camera calibration after windshield replacement.

That is the reason I want to go with Tesla service.

But Geico refused to reimburse after the deductible. It was a very bad experience with horrible customer service.

Raising rates

Why are you raising the rate again? Please look into good driver discount, check my zip code, check other discounts.

No accidents, perfect credit, no issues, and you raise it Even more, when it was already way too high.

No easy way to even contact, and they don't care anyway. Please fix or I will definitely change companies.
